SQL Anywhere 5.5 is no longer supported and therefore not available. The ODBC dirver is shipped with the product, so if you have a server, you should have the driver as well. An option would be to get an update to version 8, which can use database file of older versions. That means client and server in version 8, database file in version 5.5. But then again, if you get version 8, you might as well update the databaseand benefit form new features. I found this message while doing a search for a similar problem - I downloaded the new version and installed it. Now when I try to connect to the.db file from the 5.5 version I get the following: JZ00L: Login failed.
Examine the SQLWarnings chained to this exception for the reason(s). Error code=0 SQL state=JZ00L ASA Error -97: Database page size too big Error code=927 SQL state=01W22 The 5.5 version appears to be using a 16 bit driver - would this make the.db file incompatible with a 32 bit program version?
